We Have a Number!

We join the ranks of those who know where they stand in this waiting process. After my pleading for some information, our case worker took pity on me and revealed that we are next in line for an infant boy! What?! Next? As in #1 on the list? Yes! We are.
We were at a place where we needed some encouragement. This does it! The next little boy who becomes available will be ours. She said there are little boys in the orphanages. She just can't tell which will get all of his paperwork first. (Serious thought--wow! There is a little boy right now in the orphanage waiting for us.) Oh, I can't wait. I feel like I finally have permission to really be anticipating THE CALL. I hope it is our next post; however, our case worker reminded me that she may call tomorrow or in a month. So, we will see!

Spring Break Recap

Our spring break was a great week. We packed it full of fun activities.

First, we painted Jackson's room. We were hoping to know more about Baby Ethiopia by now so that we could know more about what we will need to add. But, for now, it has a fresh coat of paint! (I should add an "after" picture.)
Then, we were treated to some horse-back riding lessons. Sydney was the brave one who started.
Jackson finally mustered his courage to ride. (He was wearing his knight attire under the jacket, after all!)
Even Raegan got on and rode. Thank you, Katie! The kids had a great time, and you were an excellent teacher!
Our good friends, Harley and Kerri, came on Thursday. We watched March Madness. . . and played a lot of games. Ah, this is heaven! (Until, of course, KU lost--so sad!)

Finally, the girls got to go to Pinkalicious at Crown Uptown while Jackson went to a birthday party. Fun for all!

Secret-Keeper Date

Sydney and I got to go on a vintage shopping trip for our most recent Secret-Keeper Date. Boy, it was so fun! I have never done this before, so it was fun to do something new. Here are some pics:
Sydney in 1800s garb.
Here is the 1920s Flapper dress.
Moving on to the 1930s. . .
. . . before finishing with the 1960s! Fun!

Girls Night Out

The other evening, the girls and I went out for a girls night out. We had supper at Chiles before splurging on a Molten Chocolate Cake.
For those of you who have never had this, I think it is about 1400 calories of "yumminess". So, we were going to share this. Boy, I have never seen such a huge dessert disappear in such a short time! Put three LeFevre girls on it, and it doesn't stand a chance!

Can I Please Iron, Mommy?

Ironing is the job I struggle with the most. I do not like ironing. Therefore, I usually do not do it. This year, the kids played basketball with Upwards. Their awards were iron-on stars; therefore, I had to pull out the ironing board. Raegan was fascinated with the process, and she begged me for several weeks to iron. She finally got her wish! I just hope this keeps up! I could pass on this job.

Inspiring Blog

I found this blog today: http://the30dayjourneyforhope.blogspot.com/. I highly encourage you to read it. It is a reminder that often times, God's plan for us is not the easy way; however, it is best. It is just sweet.

More Stretching--Yikes!

Yesterday, we received news that we will have to add an additional trip to Ethiopia to our plans. The Ethiopian government has been considering this, and they put it into effect yesterday. Basically, all prospective parents will have to travel to Ethiopia for the court date. Then, because Embassy dates are assigned two months later, parents will have to return then to pick up their children.

In our fragile state, we were initially a little bit panicked. Plane tickets to Ethiopia are expensive, so this surprise cost was a little bit overwhelming. Then, God reminded us that this is not a surprise to Him. He has provided above and beyond so far, and we know that He will continue to provide for us. There is really no reason to worry. So, we are trying to see the positives of this additional trip:
1. We get to go to Africa two times in about two months!
2. We will have some time to do some "sight-seeing" and take in the Ethiopian culture without having to juggle a little boy.
3. We will get to trust God even more than expected.

Please continue to pray for our hearts. As time passes by without a referral and new developments threaten to shake us, we want to remain faithful as we wait for God's timing in all of this.
